3:17 PM | NOTE: The deadline for league registration (10/1/11) has passed. The following twelve (12) leagues are registered as State Members for 2011:
SPRING: WWFFA Richmond A, WWFFA Richmond B, Chesterfield, Harrisonburg, Grottoes, IFFL A, IFFL B, & Tidewater.
FALL: Tidewater, Harrisonburg, Roanoke, & NOVA Christian (IBC).
A total of 44 teams from the above leagues are eligible to compete in the States on Dec 10-11. If you hoped to compete and your league does not appear above - you may wish to talk to your league commissioner/president. League Registration can be accepted up until Nov 10. - RCJ |

"A LOT" makes a point for sure. According to the tournament results(see tournaments), in the last 15 years, in the smaller "A" Tourney - 8 different teams have won and lately the Gunz have had it sewed up. In 97 & 98 Red Dogs took back to back; in 00-02 My Plumber took a tri-fecta, as did Gunz in the last three. But, in the much larger (over twice as many teams) "B" Tourney - 14 different teams have wone in the last 15 years, M&G being the single repeat team. Booola!!! |

`Tis true, there has been a slight decline the last two years. However, for the last 15 years, the total tournament size (A & B)averaged 55 teams. With a low of 40 in 1997 and a high of 88 (Fairfax)in 2008. The last six years have exceeded the average. E.g. 2005 - 52; 2006 - 70; 2007 - 68; 2008 - 88; 2009 - 66; & 2010 - 64. Being in Fairfax this year, one would expect a good turnout again. |

As of 11/1/11, eighteen (18) more leagues have registered as follows:
SPRING: CVFA (Winter), CVFA (Spring), CVFA (Summer), FCFFL A, FCFFL B, 7 Cities Extreme, Arlington

Fairfax Athletics? Really? They don`t play VFFA/USFFA Rules. They can`t bull rush, aren`t allowed field a punt before it hits the ground, can`t jam receivers, not allowed silent counts and a lot of other rec-league friendly rules that`s going to get them destroyed if they play. |

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS:
1. Expect to mail Team Registration Packets to League Commissioners on Monday, Nov. 14. League births are allocated based on league size: 4-6 teams = 2 births; 7-9 = 3; 10-12 = 4; and 13+ = 5. Leagues containing the 2010 "A" & "B" Champs get a birth for those teams + their quota.
2. Additional Leagues registered: Winchester, Henrico (inactive this fall - no births), hope to resume in 2012.
3. The Hampton Roads League registered Spring and Fall as: "7 Cities Extreme" League.
4. A total of 120 Teams are now eligible to participate.
5. The following 2010 "B" "Eligant" eight(8), if they`ve qualifed this year, must register for the 2011 "A" Tournament:
PENETRATORS (IFFL)(2010 "B" Champs with a guaranteed birth);
ALLYKATZ (Spotsylvania);
DYNASTY (Harrisonburg Spring);
PIRATES (TFFL Spring);
TEAM HOOD (TFFL Fall);
TRIPLE THREAT (Harrisonburg Fall);
BANKHEADZ (Hampton Roads Spring) and
STONE COLD (IFFL Open W Fall).
