Change our name, really? Every year we have been required to play A, weve played A and went through a name change from Nautilus to Maroon and Gold, to M&G, and STILL played A when we were supposed to. And we`ll be back in A next yr against whoever. We follow every rule unlike many of you.
As far as today, 3 great hard fought games. Enjoyed it Elite, Poorboys, and RiverCity. And I totally agree, 1 more run wouldve left us with only about 10-15 secs, but WE didnt make that choice!! And we still had to drive quite a bit AND kick a 35 yd FG in slop!

we had 10 players who was not on our last title team. they wanted a b title since they have been playing with other teams for years and never got one. We are a new team since them and wanted to get our new young guys more expereince before giving A-ball another crack.
And yes poorboys,elite and rc gave us all we could handle. Elite is a team on the rise, if they stick together they will be a good A team in a year or two.
And also all 3 where class acts today. Not sure a word got said all day, maybe thats because our lips was frozen. |

sorry M&G you don`t gain respect by winning a B championship. only the people in your circle care. everybody else says SO they`re weak. and sense we don`t get pay to play, respect is the only thing we play for.we respect the team from your league like Most Hated & R&B for stepping up play A Ball. and finishing 2nd & 4th in the league .with that said i think there`s something going on in your league that the vffa need to take a look at. |

we are very proud of what we accomplished this weekend, save for a bad decision we would have won the ship; that hurts but only makes us hungrier.

You`re right, only people in our circle care about winning it. I`m sure river city not happy we won it. Pretty sure poorboys not happy it was us and not them. Kind of funny how last yr when we drew dmob and some put a poll about it being best first round matchup but yet many said hell no, M&G not a A team, dmob will wax them. And that they did, waxed the piss out of us! So make up ur mind, are we good enough to compete at A or not? And r&b had to play A because top 8 in B last year. And now they say they`ll stay in A next yr, just like we did last year. So were pleased for winning B and scored show it was not easy. Next year, back to A for another crack. It`s funny we catch flack for playing hard, following every rule, and not adding a single player, just look at our state pic and fall pic! So if u think B doesn`t matter, no need to respond, we know many of u don`t care. |

i can tell you this much about m&g. they are very classy people. They have been competitive in everything they play for a long time. They follow all rules, they just have good team chemistry and they make adjustments. There is nothing wrong with them playing at B level. Everybody that didnt finish in top 8 of state you mean to tell me your gonna come back and play A again. I dont think so. Every body thats knows M&G will tell you they are nothing but class win or lose.And to talk about there coach(dot) being a redneck, I dont know but i know he works for the FBI and has worked his butt off for his league and his team. So i can say is congrads to M&G and good luck next year. |

The only diff in a and b is guns snob and maybe firm other than them teams are about the same we were final 4 in b in 07 went up to a came in 5th 08 then final 4 this year all the same compitition if you exclude a couple of teams congrats to m&g |

Sounds like to me 1 of 2 things, 1 you played them and they crushed you. 2 u just mad or jealous cause you didnt win. We lost to them and i tell you i hate to lose but if we had to it couldnt be to a better group of guys. So get of it, build your team into a contender first then worry about being like m&g which have built a dynasty |

Congrats to M&G. We watched them against our league mates (Swarm) and they are a class act. Good chemistry and solid, disciplined, smart football. I also agree w/ Poorboy, the biggest difference in A & B are the top 4 or 5 teams. Truth be told, an argument could be made its as tough to get to the final 4 in B as it is A. Good stuff M&G. |

i think the mg player said it best when he said you can be proud of your wins in whatever league/division/level of play. lets not split hairs. the a and b divisions, if you take out the bottom 30 b teams, are not THAT different.
i also respect m&g as a team. its one thing to talk all nicey nice after its all over but we were driving on them for the winning score. it wasnt looking good with about 30 seconds and no timeouts left, but we still had a chance. the game was definitely not over and a trip to the finals was on the line. i caught a ball, landed on my back right on there sideline. i was out of bounds but they congratulated me on the catch and we still had opportunities to win. they earned my respect and the hardware. everyone else should really let it go. |

All this talk about B u get no respect. That is bull shyt. We played in the toughest bracket i have played in A or B everygame was a fight. Classics tuff. Knights better than expected. Da Unit Not only speed and talent all over great bunch of guys, Class acts. Then M&G are u kidding me U wont have to go threw a bracket like that in A. But that being said U get Gunz or Dmob draw frist round unless u play game of ur life u lose that goes for all a or b teams. They are the only difference between A and B. Also no 1 Respects B. Ask Gunz if they respect Poorboys. They Best 2 games they played in Natl this year and states last year was against us all there other game were going away. Much respect to M&G and Gunz They Bring it everyyear. Daunit Up and coming and in it to stay. Good holiday to all. |

I agree with Smy. A, B, or whatever PB is a good team and one of the toughest games we played. They are the only team that had us on the ropes over the past two weeks. We played Kerns/Sharks, Firm, D-Mob, Power and PB played us tougher than any of them. A or B championship doesn`t really matter. You play the teams that are scheduled and if you win them all, you`re the Champ! Congrats to M&G. Hopefully there will be a game next year between the Gunz and M&G. |

much respect to PB. They played an excellent game and put up a tough fight. I agree with PB #7 with saying Gunz and Dmob are the toughest teams in the A league and that is the only team that making A league so much (for lack of better words) better. B league had tougher games period and we were in the bracket with PB and it was all competition.

Looking at the brackets I think Whouwit had by far the toughest bracket. Triple Crown was a top 5 A team last year. Firm was national runner up and D mob was State runner up in A.
I respect B and yes some B teams could be very competitive in A but there is a reason it is B and not A. The top teams like D Mob, Gunz, Firm, and a few others would have been HEAVY FAVORITES if they played in the B tournament. I don`t think talent separates the 2 leagues I just think A teams make far better adjustments during games and have players that make the clutch plays in big games. Just my opinion. |

It`s true WHO U WIT had a tough bracket in "A". But then, TELIGON was in a bracket with JRE (Child Please), RUCKUS (Banditos), DAWGS (Hurricanes)(2009 Nats), SHARKS (Kerns)(2009 Nats)& GAMEBREAKERS (a 10-1 team who unfortunately couldn`t find the field and forfeited). |

yes won it in 06 too. lost to firm first game 07 and dmob first game 08. so we actually stayed in A last year. didnt have to but did. and look at sundays scores, it`s not like we steamrolled through. 3 tough games. and we know most dont care about B but it meant a lot to us to win that thing so leave it at that. we`ll give A another crack next year. |
