possible
Dec 16, 2008 07:34 AM | Remember folks, this an opinion.I really think there should be a "selection committee". I would forsee it as Bob, Reg Roland, and Tom from NOVA. Other commissioners submit their state teams with league rank, national rank if applicable, wins/losses, and key/best win(s). Committee would identify by submissions and their own votes to establish #1 seeds for each bracket in A/B. Would all be done like NCAA Tourney to establish seeds. Personally, I think this is more fair than a "random draw" because you get what you deserve and earned yourself. |
Longshot

I agree, the Longshots had to go through 3 B+ teams to get to Sunday. The Knights, Team Jesus, Warriors, Swarm, Dawns Bad Boys, Bad Boyz, and Longshots were all in the same bracket. All of those teams were better than 2 or 3 of the teams that made Sunday. |
What?

You are a baby. Who cares who you have to play? It is what it is. Any decent team should not be afraid to play ANY OTHER TEAM, period.
Stop crying. |

Who said we were afraid of anyone? I was just pointing out that the Longshots had a tougher route to Sunday than others did. You`re probably just another Richmond big mouth. The Richmond B teams are nothing but talk. |
lol

A leaguer

not a bad idea but it would be much easier to do that for A league with 30 teams. i can see some issues w/ doing it for 60 b league teams.
another idea is to simply go off of what division the teams played in during the regular season (A, B+, B, C) and then what their record was within that division. So a team with a 4-3 record in A League gets a higher seed than a 5-2 team that played in the B+ league. |
good idea

great idea, but you know how much more work you cause for the Bob and them? Remember if ur going to do this.. each league should have a set date to end.. and move the registration deadline up so they would have ample time proceed with such a process.. |
ME TOO!

I`d have no problem traveling some distance, staying in a hotel & paying a fee to play a team from my own league right off,or even in the 2nd round if that`s the way the above "ranking" works out! Lay it on me. |
ABSOLUTELY
