Here`s how it will shake out:
Wolves slip out of the top bracket due to lack of competition. Boogie and an old M&G will be a bit worn after an extra game, and Wolves are vets. They will take advantage of that. Triple Threat and Showtime could beat Wolves, but Triple Threat is playing in A for first time and Showtime was inconsistent in Fall ball. Gotta give edge to the Wolves, but I like Showtime if they come fully staffed with the likes of Mouse and JJ...Wolves don`t have athletes like that.
Primetime gets screwed and has to play an extra game. Sucks for them, but in reality, there shouldn`t be anyone in this bracket who can compete with them. No one has played The Gunz as many times or as close as these guys. Play some defense this year, bring the heat with your rush and these other teams got NOTHING on you. Truth will get pounded by PT. TMT gets a cake walk- will beat a decent Family First team by 2 scores, but will not be able to handle Primetime. TMT has some of the most suspect defensive backs I`ve seen. I like their rush, but PT takes this game.
Next bracket is the "upset" bracket. Westwood beats Bankheads and then upsets Gameface. If Gameface has Collision players with them, they will be in good shape. But if not, these overrated LameFace`s are one and done. AmFitFam looked sh*tty in fall ball, I see W.E.W.E. winning. W.E.W.E. should beat GameFace after a tough game with AmFitFam.
Finally, you got FXA talking a bunch of sh*t already in the bottom bracket. Firm is not what they used to be. Either way, after this game you will hear the FXA saying GATA GATA ass whooping. TC...seems like they layed low in Fall and loaded up for States. They beat 7pt Spread by a score. They also beat Firm comfortably and advance to Sunday.
From there you got:
Wolves vs. Primetime- Wolves are veterans and will manage to keep it close, but PT pulls away and wins easily in the 2nd half. Wolves, once again, can`t match up athlete for athlete.
WEWE vs. Triple Crown- Feel like I`m back in 2008 watching The Sharks and TC dominate Fairfax! WEWE is good, but Chuck and Tyson just can`t seem to get the best of Jer-Bear and TC this time. TC wins by 10.
Championship: TC and Primetime. Come on now, these are the two teams that should be in this game. I like Primetime by a FG, but this is truly a toss up.
Hate it or Love it. Poster Boy out.

I did play (retired, broke every finger on my right hand playing this stupid sport), I played in IFFL A League for quite some time on teams that finished top 10 in states before (A League). I have also played in FXA, and I`ve played "Who U Wit" which you name dropped. I`ve also played Firm and other teams of top caliber, including the Gunz several times.
I still like keeping up with what goes on in states even though I chose not to play in them! I`m just letting you know if the only league you`ve played in in recent history is FXA, you are not even close to ready for the level of competition Firm will bring. Best of luck to you though. I`ve gotten beat downs from the best of them: Firm, Gunz, etc...Just calling it how I see it. Don`t take it personal and enjoy your day rather than reading this board every 3 minutes.

PS- If i were to return to flag, I`d go with FXA over FCFFL. Just heard the league champion plays FOR FREE the following season. That`s pretty awesome. Better than the measly plastic trophies you get for winning IFFL....

As someone who`s played in both. There is a difference between FXA and FCFFL/IFFL. Just look at the teams that made the switch. FXA - no kick offs, field goals. Its just not as physical of a league. But its still flag football.
The biggest difference is the depth of good teams. There are much much more legit teams in FCFFL/IFFL. meaning you play good competition every week. FXA in casual and competitive division, there are bye weeks essentially.
Gata has a couple of guys I`d recognize from IFFL teams. I haven`t seen the team play, but who are your lineman? Just taking a guess, that will be a huge challenge against The Firm when you play.

@ Guy...Thank you for the friendly gesture. As a vet in VFFA, I played in Richmond for years before I moved to Nova to play in FXA. So I played Gunz, Primetime, D-Mob, on a weekly basis for years. I don`t need to go into how the competition level in Richmond outweighs the competition over the rest of the state. I played in numerous tournaments in the Beach as well vs. Firm and they are hands down the best team from that area. Nonetheless, like I said, you don`t know who is on our team so to speak on how we will get blown out is just stupid. I will chalk that one up to the "game" though. I`m not on here to talk a bunch of mess. I just state facts and want to clarify IF we do lose, it will not be a cake walk by any means. You are more than welcome to come to the field and watch and cheer on firm. Don`t forget your pom poms lol...GET YOUR POPCORN READY!!! |

If I was making the prediction, I would have Firm winning that game. Point spreads don`t mean anything. A W is a W and an L is an L.
Team USA won FXA Thursday night, but I would never tell that team to join A league at states.
To Actually - why didn`t DJ`s Run N Gunnaz team come to states then? I know a ton of guys who play both leagues. But they don`t bring their teams, they join to keep playing. Different nights and time slots allow for players to play in both. |

I do agree it truly is a competitive adjustment BUT to say that GATA, an FXA team can`t compete with these teams is a flat out lie! We lost to GATA this season 28-21 and we won two FXA titles too!

The harsh reality is that both leagues are good leagues. FXA is more of a "fun" leauge. IFFL A division is more of a "competitive" league. Primetime (FXA) dominated FXA one season. One the vets from their teams convinced the captain to play IFFL one season and they struggled early. Then came into their own, and got the block knocked off by the Bandito`s (B bracket) first round of playoffs.
I said that to say, Primetime was actually blowing teams out in FXA. Its much different when you`re playing against opponents where everything you do, doesn`t work.
Looking at your picture I know at least 6 of those guys (because they play on IFFL teams also). I expect GATA to lose and the game to never be in contention regardless of the score. |

Exactly! Thursday nights for FXA are never as competitive as Sundays; a few seasons back, FXA actually had a good amount of above avg teams (about 6 total) that could`ve competed against anyone in the state;
Again, IFFL and FFCFFL is the prime location for top level competition but don`t be fooled either, the "FUN" league definitely has a few teams as well; even swinging D`s whose past their prime, was a consistent team for many years |
