1:38 PM | What is there to say about 804 football at this point besides, the expectation is that this year’s champ will come from Richmond. Richmond has won 9 out of the last 10 state championships so you’d be a fool to think anything different is going to happen. Granted majority of those have come from 1 team but a normal Sunday field usually has 2 Richmond teams and 2 other teams. The Gunz have finally decided to hang it up, so for the first time in the last 5 years the picture on the front will have a new team. However the favorites to run the table this year are Primetime. The only team they’ve lost to in the past 2 state tournaments aren’t in the field anymore and they haven’t stop rolling since that last loss. Can anybody knock off Primetime? What other teams from this are look to pick up the slack and keep up with the 804 dominance? With the Ruffin league folding, all the teams went to Brad’s league. The Fall league saw some of the best competition to date. Only problem is that of the top 3 teams, only 1 was from Richmond. What does that say about the rest of the Richmond field?
Primetime – They have the best arguably the smartest player in flag football history running the show. Playmaker wins football games no matter what team he’s on. He’s not playing QB anymore, but Chauncey has made them even more explosive. Add in that they approach the game with a total team mentality and you see the results. Outlook – 2013 VA State Champs
Speed Kills – They got the poor boy as the qb now and a load of talent at the skill positions but they just can’t seem to keep a core. Combine that with Bang and JT being out due to injury, these guys are pretty much in rebuilding mode. They played “average” in the fall league and just as they came together ran into primetime in the playoffs. Word is they are playing B which in my opinion is the right move. Outlook – A bracket = 1 and done, B bracket = playing against more competition each week will give them the edge on most teams.
Boogie Monsters – The Soldier cast out’s combined with the Gunz leadership. This is a dangerous team. It goes w/o say that Smy is the most accomplished QB of this era in VA state football. With him at the helm, they are always going to be in games offensively. The problem is the defense, they don’t get many stops. This forces the Smy to play a flawless game. Outlook – Primetime and Firm are just too experience for this young team regardless of talent, but if they don’t have to go through Primetime or Firm to get to Sunday, I see no reason why they will not be playing on Sunday.
RBI – I put these guys in the same boat as Speed Kills. They only difference is they have a flat out dominant player in Sewell. Reggie just gotta get his troops on the same page and these boys could shock some people. Outlook – If they go A, maybe 2nd round. If they go B, they gotta be the favorite to win it all.
Empire – These guys just can’t get it together. They have good players on both sides of the ball but just can’t come together when they play good team. Outlook – Back in Richmond by noon.
AmFamFit – After a great run a states, these guys had to back door into the playoffs this fall. Troy and Paul still lead the way, but after that the roster could have any other 6 random people out there just to fill the team. Outlook – Depends on what team shows up or 1 and done.
Westwood – See AmFam description. Insert Mike for Troy and Lance (hurt) for Paul.
Notable Teams – Soldiers, rebuilding but could look to find some vets laying around that want to play football. VDP – Not ready for A, but have no choice but to play A. Heisman – B league. Mayhem – B league.
Overall Outlook – Primetime Champs. Boogie Monsters playing on Sunday. Anybody else that plays A will not win a game. Anybody that goes B, should be playing on Sunday.

B Lo- Boogie Monsters

*All reporting for all 4 areas were reported as if the Gunz are not participating. If they participate, drop everybody down 1 spot/day accordingly. Additionally, add to every teams outlook an asterisk (*) that says, as long as the Gunz aren’t in their path.

yes, but pride and being top 8 from previous B makes teams play A.
B is actually the most competitive bracket. More games to win, teams more evenly matched, etc... In A, it`s only about upsets, the favorites are set. In B you have no idea who is going to come out on top. Nobody is really even considered a favorite to win it all.
A you win 2 games you make it to Sunday. In B, you gotta damn near win 4. |

What ? Did I avoid. And as far as your question no he isn`t the only play maker on the offense ask anybody that played against us the last 2 seasons every body contributes. I`ll take my WR core over any other WR core. To be honest people sleep on Brian and PK. And they both make plays when we need them the most. They don`t get as much attention bc they ate usually calling plays for other people instead of themselves. With all the talent on this team no room for egos. |

We are a vet squad but still only played one year together this is our first "states" as a team. I`m going to say that I`m doubting one team will sweep both Nationals and States. I`m doubting 1 region will sweep the tourneys.
What we can guarantee is that a VA team will win both tournaments. Having back to back travel weekends, will that effect any of the traveling VA teams? |

TC had some new blood. But the guys were not from FCFFL or IFFL. Some boys that played at Dulles Indoor. I know I`ve seen them before. They use to run through the indoor league. |

Good Luck to all the teams playing and repping their area code. Stay healthy! I used to look forward to this time of the year, but I`m happy i`m not you guys. I hate paying for going hard all weekend the rest of the next week (Tired and Sore). LOL I`m not getting into a debate with my pick which is a tough one because my boyz playing with Boogie Monsters,but like I said after when finished last year. PrimeTime is now the team to beat in the 804 and I believe they will win it all. I hope they can wear that target well (Like we Did). Its hard to take every teams best shot, because thats what you`re going to get. Stay focused and take care of business. Good Luck Fellas!! |

If you look back at the Nationals a few years back(Not sure what year). The Gunz loss to the Firm in the Nationals, but got some get back the next week in the States. I have said it before States is 10x tougher than the Nationals. Thats why we stopped going. |
