teams lose, they want to complain about the refs. If it was in the 703, then they would be cheating. If it was in the 757, then they could be cheating. Get your teams ready for next year and stop crying!!!!

No team should put themselves in a position to win a game on a call regardless how bad a person thinks the refs calls are. Play ball
Whatever

You could tell which refs took their job seriously and which ones were just out for a paycheck. Appreciate their time , but they need to read the rule book/check their flags/clean their glasses before hitting th fields !
horrible

But one of the refs in the Speed Kills Crazy horse game told them to get on-sides 5 times. Then just blew the whistle and started telling them how much they knew better, but didn`t throw a flag. The other ref had to ask him what the hell are you doing? Oh yeah 5 yard penalty....lol..No barring on the game, but that was wack as hell.

I was part of the Ground Zero/VDP game and saw what happen first hand. I do know one of the refs involved because he officiates games in the CVFA regularly and is a very good official. Although, No excuses for what happened during the game. Regardless of what area code or league you represent a referee`s job is to work together as a crew to get the correct call, keep control and maintain the integrity of the game. At no point should one ref tell another ref in the midst of the players involved, that a call is not there’s to make pending the position that they are standing on the field. These situations should be handled in a referee’s conference to the side. Regardless of rather you are the line judge, back judge, etc., if you have a clear view and a penalty has been committed make the call. If there’s an issue discuss it with the crew to side away from the players, get the call right and move on. The situation was definitely handled poorly on all counts and I hope that in future state tournaments, issues like these can be handled in a better manner. Anyway, That pretty much sparked the whole thing. At that point professionalism was out the window and you all know the rest of the story. Great game to Ground Zero!

the ref putting the game on hold to talk on the phone and then yelling at the players "Does anyone have a problem with me being on the phone? No! Didn`t think so!" was hilarious. other than that guy i think the refs did a good job this weekend.

Most teams blame the Refs, when they should be blaming their league Commish. The reason I say that is, you play in a league with modified rules and then come to States and refs are calling a different game. Ask your league commish to play by the State rules only, then your team will know the rules. This is not always the case, but it is in the majority. This also causes your refs not to know the rules too.

Maybe some of the bum rules should be removed from states.

1 hop rule on snaps? Get a better center.

Play on 100yrd fields instead of 80yrd fields. Football fields are made 100 yrds so why are we shortening them?

Why not play 11 on 11? Why not tackle? Oh, thats right they do have a game for that. I`m sure you don`t like all the rules in regular football either, but I bet they wont change the rules because your team don`t like them.

na I don`t like them, because our league doesn`t play with them. playing in states last year, and having to pause the game, to figure out where to spot the ball to kick fg`s was dumb. just my 2 cents.

Those are the only two rules i could think of that bother me.
