Showtime vs. 88: Showtime wins this game easily. These guys beat Primetime and TMT for a Fairfax championship in the same night. Best defense in the state. 28-0.
Stone Cold vs. Boogie: Going to be very close, but I think Stone Cold beats Boogie in their own backyard 21-14. Depends who has the ball last.
Game Face vs. The Money Team: Lucky first draw for GameFace. They will breeze by a team that prob shouldn`t be in the A tourney, 21-7.
TMT vs. Bankheads: Bad draw for Bankheads. They had a good run in the Fall playoffs in Tidewater. Will give TMT a run for their money but it won`t be enough. 35-21 TMT.
ROUND 2
Triple Threat vs. Showtime: Triple Threat is in for a rude awakening here. Did well last year bc they played Boogie on their 3rd game, but will be no match for a warmed up Showtime team. 28-14 Showtime.
Da Unit vs. Heisman: Da Unit is talking ALOT for a team that finished 5th in the Tidewater league. Still, I think they beat Heisman in a close one 21-20.
Good Brothers vs. JayHawks: A hot Jayhawks team will come into their first game ready to do work on whoever the Good Brothers are. Jayhawks win with ease 24-7.
Primetime vs. Stone Cold: Stone Cold will have the athletes to match up with Primetime, just not the cohesion and chemistry to beat them. 28-17 Primetime.
7PT vs. GameFace: Not even close. GameFace is falling apart and 7PT is better than ever after winning the 804 league this year. 33-7 7PT wins.
Team Hood vs. the W: Team Hood coming in ready to roll after winning Tidewater this Fall. 34-0 Hood.
Firm vs. Empire: Firm has fallen off a bit but Empire didn`t show much this Summer in the Bark Bowl. Firm wins 31-10.
TMT vs. Speed Kills: Speed Kills is in for a rough time after a good showing in B last season. TMT shows them what A is all about and wins this one 28-7.
ROUND 3
Showtime vs. Da Unit: Showtime continues to roll with little resistance from Da Unit, winning 21-7.
Jayhawks vs. Primetime: Jayhawks end a great season by giving Primtime a good game, but it won`t be enough to dethrone the champs. 28-21 Primetime.
7Pt vs. Team Hood: This will be a great game. I think people maybe underestimating Team Hood. I think this could be the first major upset of the tourney, Team Hood sends 7Pt back up 95 with a 21-17 victory.
Firm vs. TMT: We`ve seen this before. Maybe in their heyday Firm gets revenge from 2013 Nationals where they let up 50+ to TMT. I don`t see it happening in 2014. TMT shows Firm a thing or two. 42-28 TMT.
SUNDAY: FINAL 4
Primetime vs. Showtime: Showtime had Primetime`s number in the Fall, tying them in week 1 and then beating them by a FG in the playoffs. The third time is a charm for Primetime, who won`t let that happen in their backyard. Primetime finds a way to put 20+ up on that defense and wins it 21-17.
Team Hood vs. TMT: Tidewater`s finest Team Hood comes out ready to roll. TMT just has too much tournament experience and closes them out in the 2nd half, 24-14.
CHAMPIONSHIP
TMT vs. Primetime: Man oh man, probably the two teams everyone would expect to be in this game, but as you can see in my prior predictions, you see why they both get here. I think TMT has an easy route to the championship and Primetime has got to be the favorite (returning champs and in their back yard). This will be a high scoring affair with a lot of big plays. In the end, TMT just does not have as much firepower as they need to take the throne. Primetime repeats and takes the championship game 35-24.

Showtime held Primetime to 14 points in the playoffs a few weeks ago, and TMT to 7. If they can do that, what makes you think 88 not scoring is so unrealistic?
And has for the W, according to their page they have no IFFL games. Do you know something I don`t? Because Team Hood only gave up 7 points to the Jayhawks in the Tidewater championship, a very competitive league. So I wonder what is so special about The W? |
